![]() ![]() Kori holds the NOHS record for most three-pointers in a season with 58 and most three-pointers in a game with six. During her high school career, Kori also set two school records that still are around today. Kori said, “Coach Sizer had a tremendous impact on her throughout her basketball career.” The Eagles finished an amazing 32-0 when Kori and Coach Sizer were together at the 7th and 8th-grade level. Kori mentioned that winning the SWC Championship and working with Coach John Sizer as a few of her everlasting memories that she still holds onto today. As a senior, Kori led the Eagles to an SWC championship and was selected as the Southwestern Conference Most Valuable Player. On the basketball court, Kori was a 4-year starter, 4-year 1st team All SWC selection, and a 3-time team captain. Kori graduated from North Olmsted High School in 2006 and will be remembered as one of the most skilled basketball players to ever walk the halls of NOHS. ![]() We get this day started off with 2008 graduate Kori Wiedt. In her free time, Shannon enjoys spending time with her dog, riding bikes, running, and traveling with Brian. Shannon currently resides in Fairview Park, Ohio with her husband Brian. In 2013 Shannon graduated from Cleveland State University with her masters in nursing and currently works as a nurse for Metrohealth Hospital. Shannon, an honor roll member every semester during her college years, graduated from Illinois State University in 2010 with her degree in exercise science. Shannon stated that winning the Missouri Valley Conference and playing in the NCAA tournament at The Ohio State University against the University of Florida as one of her most memorable collegiate moments. Shannon competed in all 4 years of soccer at ISU, ranks 2nd all-time in minutes played, and earned All Missouri Valley honors multiple times. Aside from all of her numerous individual soccer honors, Shannon mentioned that winning the SWC in soccer as a senior as one of her most memorable high school athletic experiences.įollowing high school, Shannon accepted a scholarship to play soccer at Illinois State University. These awards included: 2003 Most Improved Player Award, 2004 Best Defensive Player, 2005 Best Defensive Player Award, and 2005 team captain. Shannon also received numerous team honors during her three seasons playing varsity soccer for the Eagles. In addition to the honors above, Shannon was also a three-time team MVP, a two-time SWC MVP, and broke NOHS School Records in 5 events ( 100M, 200 M, 400 M, 4 x100 Relay, 4 x 200 Relay).Īs a soccer athlete at NOHS, Shannon was a three-year letter winner, a two-time All-Greater Cleveland selection (2004-HM, 2005-2nd team), and a three-time All SWC selection for the Eagles (2003-HM, 2004-2nd team, 2005-1st team).
